A really cool minimalistic shower

I wouldn't like it just because I know I would feel so exposed, even in a locked bathroom. But hey, at least you don't have to worry about a murderer hiding behind the shower curtain.

Towels would get wet. Everything would get wet. Floor would be more likely to be slick.

It's a pretty big room, I think that can be avoided fairly easily.

Maybe they wanted to put in glass. I was just offering possible explainations.
