I lost my wallet once in a Walmart parking lot, I had just received a tax return and was carrying over 1,500$ A gentleman picked it up..I stopped for pizza realized I didn't have my wallet and returned to Walmart. This man was standing ON TOP OF HIS CAR waving me to him and returned my wallet! He absolutely refused to receive any reward, gave me a hug and said "It's just the right thing to do sweetheart." I was almost crying. That money was everything I had.
My mom dropped her wallet in a grocery store parking lot a few weeks ago. She didn't even realize it was missing until a lady knocked on the door and gave it to her. She had driven all the way across town to bring it to her! Everything was luckily still there. She wouldn't take a reward.
Didn't try to use up his credit cards either it seemed. Just went for what was both convenient for himself and least destructive.
Still a crappy move. Doesn't justify being a theif in the first place, But it coulda been worse. I can Atleast appreciate those crooks who do crimes but no evil.
