It's not relevant to this at all you're just starting shit. You're either a troll or stupid. And there are plenty of problems that are speech worthy but do u expect him to mention them all or something or the ones he doesn't supposedly don't matter? Edit: that was a crazy long convoluted run on sentence but whatever I'm not fixing it
How is it not relevant to this ?? The elephant in the room at the Oscars was the LACK OF DIVERSITY ( watch it again if need be). That's more or less what most acceptance speechs & chris rocks monolog consisted of. So for this particular post to say "thank you for using your speech to say something that truly matters" means all that talk about lack of diversity DOESN'T MATTER to whomever created this post. Ergo it's relevance.
But like I said I don't expect people of this website nor the majority of the white Caucas to find racism relevant nor worth talking about (considering the downvotes) so i'll be around you. I'll see you trump supporters later.
Simply saying that one thing truly matters does not mean that other things do not. It's like saying that disliking Trump (as the vast majority of this site's users must, considering how well anti-Trump posts are received) and disliking illegal immigrants as a concept are mutually exclusive. Racism is important. Climate change is important. Mental health is important. Poverty, as an issue, is important. Just because we are saying that a speech on one of these things is important, and congratulating the one who made it, doesn't mean we consider the others on the list, and the countless topics off of it, to be of no significance at all, and may even consider them more necessary to be brought up.
I am not reading the long debate. So idk if someone said it. But like leo says it affects the entire species. Climate change is not a white ppl problem!! If there's no more water, no more forests, if nature suffers... we ALL suffer. So if a natural disaster is upon us i think not enough black people in an award show would be a small peoblem at that point...
