When you are breaking inside you say you are ok in order to protect the people around you. Everyone tries to fix something inside you that they can't! Wearing your feelings out honestly hurts the people around you. Don't judge people when you haven't been there, in the shoes they wear.
I'm saying it's our lie, let us tell it. It's not as easy to be truthful as you are making it. When you feel this way, every single day, over and over for months...what exactly do you expect us to tell our friends and family? I say I'm good and I'm ok all the time when I'm not, I don't want the people around me to feel lost wondering what they can do...they can do nothing. It just isn't as simple as saying the truth.
"it's our lie, let us tell it."
I never implied otherwise.
"It's not as easy to be truthful as you are making it."
I didn't mention difficulty.
"what exactly do you expect us to tell our friends and family?"
The truth obviously. That's elementary school stuff.
This is all a moot point, as the child is obviously talking about a perceived social obligation, not a depressed person's choice to hide his feelings for the perceived benefit of those around him.
Also what happened to this site's favicon?
