I think it's Florence in Italy. That building with the red roof is Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore

It sound a bit like modern jazz but I can't tell you the actual song. Of course it could be a classical piece just done in a modern style dictated by the musicians. Throw in the improve and you've got a sweet jazz piece that's unique to that one time.
