Um yeah, cause there's more white child actors. Like, Disney doesn't actually need most of their charactersbto be a particular race, it's just easier to cast them white. This isn't racist. Maybe a little lazy, but not really racist.
Disney is working on broadening its spectrum, but nothing is instant. As far as whitewashing, we live in white america. With an audience that is more broadly caucasian, it's more business practical to make a RELATABLE character that is also caucasian. It's corperate, not necessarily racist.
Now, butthurt guest who likes to complain but isn't ballsy enough to make an account, if you wish to complain about racism or racially charged issues in disney, please turn your attention to Tiana, A woman who worked in a diner, was poor, and was only invited to a fancy event because she was friends with a white chick. Or maybe the Siamese cats in lady and the tramp with slanted eyes and buck teeth and 'asian' accents that can't pronounce L's. Or the beginning of alladin, with 'arabian knights'. Or the 'ghetto' voices of the hyenas in the lion king.
Disney has moved forward past certain racist themes in their animation. And their shows are more diverse but to expect instant change is foolish.
....are you sure about that?
