I misunderstood this at first. I thought that the animals were representing a country. They're actually just what the news anchor looked like in that version of the movie.

That's kinda cool then. I think it's interesting when movies change a seemingly unimportant detail to appeal to a different demographic

I'm wondering if this is meant to be pointing out racial stereotyping.... Because it seems fine to me because those are animals that come from those regions and are what you think of when you think of those countries (in reference to animals)

I'm glad that america got lumped in with canada. If we didn't then we would probably have a bald eagle or a pig.

United States, Canada, and France are 3 separate places, but the same newscaster. It's by region. The movie isn't gonna be different in every country.
