There's a band in the background because back then bodybuilding wasn't particularly popular. So they used bands to attract and keep audiences. I read Arnolds"Total Recall" btw, that's how I know. Good book

Interesting. Haven't read his book but I did know he was (along with some other bodybuilders) instrumental in helping to legitimize the sport.
