I googled this and Calvin Klein wasn't bragging about her being their first plus sized model. What really happened is they hired her and just included her in a photo shoot with all of their other models (no big deal) and people realized that she is a plus sized model (which she is at a UK size 14) and now people are angry at Calvin for no reason.

Sometimes plus just means big, not fat. In this case, it probably means she's like a size 8 and in really good shape.
