It's possible. At work we have audit machines and they can weigh the money. Including the bills.

Pretty sure it didn't happen. And btw, Apple could refuse that form of payment. So, yeah. Never happened.

Yes, never happened... but if it did, consiter this:
I'm not 100% on financial law, but I'm pretty sure that the refusal of the payment would negate Samsung's obligation for restitution.

Smitty is correct on that point, they couldn't refuse the payment in whatever form.

This is most regrettably and unfortunately not true. This, I'm afraid, did not happen.
Besides, the last time I heard it, it was nickels.
That's the key to recognizing urban legends that are not true, catch them when they are repeated with key details altered.

That fine money was for making a round phone. They should have dumped that money on the head of Apple. Apple is scum.

1 this is fake. 2 a judge ordered Apple to apologize to Samsung, and Apple refused to apologize. That is petty.
