Are there multiple ways to pronounce "egg"? There's "egg" and perhaps "eeg"? Or perhaps "ehg"?

Ok so my dad is from Portland, OR and he says it like "egg" but the rest of my family, including myself, pronounce it in the "Chicago" accent and we pronounce it "ayg" so it sounds like it starts with the letter A
