Depends. I had a teacher who'd always talk long after the bell rung, often through the entire break, and so made us late for the next class. Being late is also rude, so we always silently packed our things before she was finished to make it to the next class. I don't think it's that rude anyway, especially in cases like this one.

I'm talking about classing before the time allotted for the class is over. If your class is fifty minutes long and it's been fifty minutes, pack up. But if it hasn't been, then it's still class time and you should fucking respect that.
Some of us have class in 10 minutes all the way across campus and we don't need the professor droning on about a subject the vast majority of his students are taking because it's a "required" class.

Then you tell him/her you need to leave early and do so quietly and respectfully to not disrupt the environment for the people who are there because they actually want to learn
If it's during class hours, than yes, it is considered rude. But if the teacher continues past his or her's allotted time frame, than I think you have the right to leave if you have another class or engagement elsewhere since it's rude to be late and some teachers don't let you in if you are. Students shouldn't leave before class ends, but neither should teachers keep students late.
