My friend has hearing aids and I can't see without my glasses so we decided that if we were ever in trouble with the cops- remember, you're deaf and I'm blind
I don't understand why there's an automatic assumption that if someone is blind, deaf or disabled in any way that they're not as attractive as someone who is perfectly able.
Why do we look at people like that as if they're weaker when in fact a lot of them are more capable of a lot of things than we are? Like there's a guy in South Africa that doesn't have either of his feet and he has prosthetics, but he's an Olympic athlete.
I don't understand why we can't just look at people as people.
