I actually don't think he's won a pulitzer, I think they were thinking of another literary award

I think they mean the Michael L. Printz Award. He got that for writing Looking for Alaska

He also got an Edgar Award for Paper Towns, but not Pullizer yet.
Also, it was his brother Hank who got to interview the president.
