Well see the thing is that there are no RECORDED incidents of talking. But it doesn't mean that it couldn't happen. So they can't say "never". It's the sort of bullshit that forces public speakers to not speak in absolutes because oh my god all of a sudden new evidence pops up and they're dead wrong.
