You do realise the tower isn't called Big Ben? Its the bell inside that's called Big Ben, the tower is called Elizabeth Tower

It's no longer chiming as it's being cleaned and restored over the next 3 years. It will only chime on New Years Eve, Remembrance Day and Queens birthday.

I was here last spring. Around 10am, nice weather, no traffic and the tour bus was stopped at a stop just before Tower bridge, perfect photo opportuntity of Elizabeth Tower.
