Thank you guys :)
It is actually disturbing how much medication is prescribed to kids, and how young they're getting it recommended. I have a cousin the teacher tried everything to declare ADHD, luckily 3 doctors said she was just a lazy teacher. He was only 7 at the time. Then unfortunately we have people desperately needing help getting into trouble with everyone, being kicked from schools, bullied for being "different" and even becoming violent who are obviously overlooked.
I'm a bleeding heart I suppose, I just cannot believe that we have children killing each other and no one notices they're dying inside long before they snap.
With the amount of pressure high schoolers have to face from the schooling, parents, adults, and other sources that we have to deal with these days, it doesn't even surprise me.
Other things teens have now but didn't then:
Cell phones
Internet
Social media
Probably not "tougher exams" thaat lead to anxiety...your parents/grandparents had WWII, Korea and Viet Nam to worry about. Maybe it's the immediacy of everything that's making you so anxious.
Source is American public schools
Measured in amount of medication and prison sentences for the non-medicated
It's true
