I thought they came out of the ground like potatoes, trees seem a bit weird because a pineapple is like it's own smaller tree.

I was seriously questioning why you thought that, and decided to just not ask because the world is filled with stupidity. But it continued to bother me as I left this post and went back to browsing, when then suddenly a certain song started playing in my head. I then threw my phone and groaned "OH MY FUCKING GOD!" and then got up to retrieve it so I could send this.

we had a few of these in our back yard when i was a kid. Those leaves are deadly, never touch them. I learned my lesson when i grabbed one and split my hand open. tsk
