I do too. I feel safer with it open than I do closed.

Yeah if a murderer comes from my closet I can just dive out of the door

well I think part of it is because I want to be able to hear noises in my house. Like I'm afraid if I keep the door closed, I won't be able to hear someone breaking in and not be able to get up, call 911 and potentially fight off an intruder. Plus my brother's room is right next to mine and my parents is down the hall and we all keep our doors open. I just feel safer that way.

I do it because my room gets cold during the winter, and it just carries over to summer

I do it because I sleep with my dog and she usually wants to go outside, but I think it's very annoying and I prefer sleeping with the door closed
