But c'mon, it's Emma Watson. She was first pick for the role and she is an incredible actress. If she were to fake a french accent many would get offended and say it is worse.
I disagree tbh. I think that if she took time to properly understand and eventually mimic a French accent,that she would do a great job and very few people would complain.
Well that puzzled me to but then I remember that belle and her family are not from there her father moved there. But it never says from where so maybe belle moved from England to france.
She even sings about it in her first song bonjour.

Belle's original voice was done by Angela Lansbury, she didn't have a french accent and didn't need to fake one. I don't understand why then this version has to have an accent.
