Open the case and detach or destroy the piezo element that makes the sound (it looks like a little metal disc probably inside a plastic housing with a small hole in it). Then put it back together. Just unplug it first (obviously), and be careful not to touch the high voltage capacitor (it looks like an oval shaped metal can, it doesn't hold a lot of charge but it's enough to hurt).
