Tbh tho, I live in Arizona and these little annoyances wander into my house on a daily basis. The only reason they sting you is if you touch them, or nearly step on one, making it threatened. Yes, its scary to begin to put on a shoe to find one in it, but really they're just bikers, they look tough as fuck, and will hurt you if you mess with it, but leave them alone, and they won't bother you.
