I noticed that too. You can see the door slightly open where it meets the floor, and the creases on the wall where it opens.

The Winchester house has stairs to nowhere, doors to nowhere, inaccessible rooms. Construction was ongoing for decades in an attempt to ward off an old Native American curse. Look it up, definitely a strange interesting read.
