Survival tip

My sister (16) took her whistle with her while on a trip out if state with my aunt. She told her she was stupid for wearing a whistle because no situation would arise in which she would need it and actually made her give it to her to hold on to. But despite what she says, it's a good idea to have them for any outing, including walking to your car at night and all kinds of things.

Unless of course your camp is near a Bears territory were this would have been a stupid idea but of course the likelihood of that is a 1/1000000

Bears also love shiny metal objects !!!

Seems overprotective.
