Trust me, Nokia is way better. I remember several years ago, me and some mates went to the school oval and played "peg the phone" with my Nokia. Probably we're able to throw it 7-8M into the air. We did that for over an hour. Then we went to the basketball courts and skimmed it over the concrete several times like you do with a rock on water.
Still worked. Only damage was one of the metal clips on the back that held the case on snapped. And about a year ago, I gave the same phone to my little sister (Not used it for like 3/4 years) she plugged it in and turned it on and it worked! (I gave it to my sister as a little joke, thinking it wouldn't work.)
While on my motorcycle my phone flew out of my pack and into the road. After I stopped I turned around to see where it went and I watched it get ran over by a car. Still works with minimum scratches
The iPhone 3 was good. I dropped it at least 100 times and it never broke. And the original iPod touch was good. I still Have mine, but I dropped it a month ago and crashed the screen bad.
