Do dogs enjoy being read to?

While a nice sentiment, seems kind of pointless. I'm sure they enjoy it, but would rather go out and play.

Dogs are social creatures that want and need to be talked to and loved. It doesn't matter what you say to them, it's the tone. You who say she should get off her lazy ass and just take the dog for a walk should get off your lazy ass and follow your own couch potato self righteous bullshit spouting know -it-all criticism.

I think this woman has confused dogs with 10 year old children in a sick ward but whatever, it's a nice sentiment. It sounds like maybe she's a bit off mentally, if this is true and not just a photo with random text underneath. I feel that dogs would prefer tactile contact, petting, going out and playing, and stuff like that a lot more but I guess it's better than nothing.
