I have both ps4 and xbox one. Both are equally great. I've only played The Sims games on PC so I can't really comment XD

The bottom line is that they dropped the ball on the communicating the features and the tone it was delivered in. There were also some "issues" with the XBL network and development issues with certain titles that caused connectivity problems.
