Trump's supporter is angry because Ted is not supposed to give a speech to ask TRUMP SUPPORTERS to vote for Trump. His supposed objective is to persuade/procure Ted's own supporter to vote for Trump because both Ted and Trump are in the same party. Thus, while you cannot say Ted is backstabbing Trump yet, it shall be understood for the boo of Trump supporters.

Actually, the Republican Pledge made on the 3rd of March 2016 - only stated that the candidates would "support" each other not endorse one another. Mike Wallace is right, Trump supporters should see it as support if they feel they really are voting for the candidate that will support the Constitution. Ted Cruz did not break his pledge by not endorsing Trump.
