Kojima's a fuckin' legend. Metal Gear Solid V is set in 1984, and after a certain part of the game a bunch of posters go up around your base that say "BIG BOSS IS WATCHING YOU."

It's cuz Konami knew he was a video game making genius, but his ideas were so damn expensive that they needed to restrict him to cut the costs of the games he made, but then that pissed Kojima off and then they had to fire him. One time he paid for 5 full orchestral soundtracks (incredibly expensive cuz one of the best ever were composing them) and basically threw them away cuz they weren't 'just right'
