I doubt its a thing and I would prefer the condom route because it has a higher chance of working than any medication. A Physical Aid will always work better than a Chemical one. (for bias sake, I believe in Pharmaceutical medication and Safe Sex using Condoms vs using 'the pill')

It actually is a thing. It was first made for healthcare professionals that came in contact with the blood of their HIV+ patients but is now widely used with high-risk individuals. It's expensive, so primary prevention methods (like condoms) are recommended much more. So, yeah, im with you on preferring the condoms. But nPEP is out there should any of you ever need it! The more you know...

If it was inexpensive it would be a much better option, especially for the sub-saharan Africa area. The poor countries with AIDS as common as hamburger joints are in the US. Thats where this should be aimed at.
