Also Ash isn't in the games, it's generally accepted that the main character in first generation's name is Red and the rival is Blue.

So? I was referring to the show and it looks like Garry, Ash, and shity drawn bird Pokemon (I assumed pidgy sorry)

It's about the game, because of the text boxes.

And because of Red.

Blue did wear that outfit at the beginning of Pokemon Red, if i remember correctly. At least he does in the manga.
