I think her face looks different (not deformed, but eyes sticking out and such), as a result from an illness she has. To add to that, she has social anxiety, and can't show her face in public. Clever way to overcome your difficulties and still get out, if you ask me!

Oh, I heard she was an recovered alcoholic, but it apparently took a toll on her looks and wanted people to focus on her singing, not her face. So many rumours, it's like Chinese whispers...

But if you google her you can...like...see her....still great singer, not saying that she sucks!!!

Yeah, doesn't really matter why she wears that head gear, as long as she has natural singing talent
