The ATM fee is for maintenance of the atm, and because most of the time, when you use an ATM you are getting money from a different bank than the one that owns the ATM. You're paying for the convenience of not having to go all the way to the bank to withdraw the money. If you don't want to pay ATM fees, go to your bank.
Meanwhile, in Europe, using ATMs is completely free, whether it belongs to your bank or not. ATMs are in perfect condition nonetheless. It's just that one day, some bankers in the USA decided to make money cost even more money, and they got away with it.
When you say "Capitalism is the worst form of economy, besides all others" are you actually saying it's the worst, or are you quipping that it's the worst, besides all the others that are more bad?
No, dude, capitalism really does suck for the little guy, but at least in a capitalist society you have the opportunity to become the big guy. You can rise above your station. It isn't easy, and it doesn't happen for everybody, and I'm slowly coming to the realization that it probably won't happen for me. But at least I get to try.
Before we make sweeping declarations about capitalism, we need to look at it through the scope of history. World-wide, wherever economic freedom is allowed, millions of people have lifted themselves out of stoop labor and miserable poverty. Practically speaking, capitalism is the best system yet devised for the "little guy."
