I'm pretty sure that there are binary things in this universe. For example, there are only two genders/sexes. That spectrum of sexes you talked about still involves only two sexes. You can be a manly woman, feminine man, but you can't be some unknown third sex, cuz a third sex doesn't exist. Same shit with gender.
