I love dogs but I won't let them lick me. That's just gross.

Dog tongues are cleaner than human's...

While that may be true, I simply meant that the slobber grosses me out.

Fair enough, not all dogs slobber that much, my dog's tongue used to be pretty slobber free when she'd lick you
