Well, maybe there might be some truth to the matter, but don't assume this applies to everybody in all situations. If people were to judge MY moods on these body positions, they would be completely wrong. According to this post, I stand/sit/put my arms in an angry, judgmental position all the time, but I am not an angry person and am only sometimes judgmental. It would be more accurate to judge people's moods on their facial expressions. Also, some of these body positions could be culturally based.
You have a good point, Most of these are examples, and simply that.
They can be well applied and adapted/bastardised from their base format.
My Dad taught me quite a few of these and more, from his training as a policeman in interview situations/confrontations and they've helped me a lot in life, especially job interviews and social situations.
