I've only ever been rude to a nurse once. She was attempting to take my husbands blood and he's a pain to take blood from as most of the higher veins in his arms have collapsed from over use (lots of blood taken as a child) and he's got and arterial fistula in his left arm so they can't take blood from that arm.
He'd recently has his veins mapped at the hospital so he's trying to tell her where the best place to get his blood from will be, she gets all hoity toity about it saying "I know where to take blood from I've been doing this for years!" And proceeds to stab the living crap out of his atm going for the usual places.
By this point we're getting fed up and he says to the nurse, "listen you're not going to get anything from there its just capillaries there now." To which she says "what's a capillary?" !!!! We were gobsmacked! I was astounded by this and I rudely said to her "if you don't know what a capillary is you shouldn't be doing this job and go back to med school!!!"
