And the saying "an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind" isn't representative of revenge strictly speaking. Revenge is getting even, if the cycle keeps continuing that means that someone is continually the aggressor because they'll always be even or have given one more punch than the other person.
This is wrong. She actually did not go through with it. Although sharia law would have let her, the man who threw acid in her face demanded that her eyes be gouged out to prove she really was blind. She DID NOT go through with it, for her morals as well.

all of you using the term "eye for an eye" are taking it out of context. This term was used to make sure revenge/punishment was not worse than the crime. I.E. If you blind someone on purpose, the punishment should be equal; you don't lose an arm or are put to death.
I think this article is'nt exactly true , I remember she did not go through with it , although he deserved much much worse ,
Or she can ve another case , since we have some :(
Honestly this digusts me. Revenge solves nothing, this isnt the lord of the fucking flies, and puts her down closer to his level. An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind.
Revenge solves a lot of problems. Problems such as "How does a person punish and deter an animal that can't handle rejection?" for example.
She has moral superiority because of the simple fact that she was hit first.
Honestly, she should have hit him harder. The world can't go blind if the victim takes both eyes from their attacker.
Different guest speaking, but when people say "an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind," what do you expect to do? Getting sent to jail is another form of revenge for the girl, but at least she's satisfied now
No objections here.
