I thought Maine Coon instead of Norwegian Forest Cat, but I realize now that I don't actually know how to tell the difference!

I was just guessing as I couldn't really tell either, I was just going by the density of the coat. As it's fluffier I assumed it was a Norwegian Forest Cat.
