I'm not saying destroy EVERYTHING, I'm saying sometimes you just have to punch something (mattress, pillow, punching bag), and break plates and cups (I bought a cheap set from a thrift shop specifically for this. If shit gets real bad [family members dying, finding out about being really sick and other stuff that's really big and has a huge impact in my life] I break a plate or cup when no ones around and clean it up afterwards. Or I punch a pillow or mattress, or I throw all my books and clothes on the floor and put them back when I'm ready).
I'm saying it helps sometimes to make a mess but you have to accept the responsibility of cleaning up afterwards.
I have *ahem* "anger issues", and when I was younger I'd always go on a rampage and try to break stuff to calm me down, but all it left me was a feeling of regret and guilt. It doesn't help that I don't like breaking anything, so that's why I wouldn't want to do this
I still haven't gotten over losing both my friend and my mother within a month of each other, if it weren't for my kid depending on me to take care of him, I'd snap and end it
