I didn't choose the fandom life, the fandom life sat next to me and said "You like D&D, Audrey Hepburn, Fangoria, Harry Houdini, and croquet. You can’t swim, you can’t dance, and you don’t know karate. Face it. You’re never gonna make it."
I didn't choose the fandom life, the fandom life gave me a bis ass weapon and told me to kill a whale sized rock monster and retrieve a guys hat.

I didn't choose the fandom life, it gripped me tight and raised me from perdition!
I didn't choose the fandom life, the fandom life spoke to me in a voice through radio waves and told me that the past is gone and it cannot harm me anymore. And while the future is fast coming for me, it always flinches first before settling in as the gentle present.
I'm glad, seems obsessive. I'm not much of an internet-person, but I like FS at times. But I much prefer my friends in real life, and we don't need TV-shows to bond and obsess over.
I guess it depends on what you consider a fandom. It's not just tv shows or movies, it could be books or sports, or even science, anything that brings joy and comraderee.
I didn't choose the fandom life. The fandom life made my acquaintance, accepted a cheesecake date with me, and then very calmly and casually accused me of being Kira and from then on it was a 24/7/365 commitment of never being left to escape
