Alternatively, the non-meat-eater can bring their own tofurkey. My aunt and her family went vegan for a year and for thanksgiving brought their own vegan alternatives. I tried the tofurkey. I did not like the tofurkey.

That's basically what I do. I've been vegetarian a few months and when my family has meat I don't bitch about them not serving some alternative because it's my choice and I'm an adult and can buy and make my own food
There is a vegan in my class who always comments on your food (even when it isn't meat) about 'how many animal or animal products are in your food or drinks

Well a lot of not meat foods have egg or cheese or milk or beef fats or pork fats. Although it is pretty pretentious for them to obnoxiously point it out like that.
I know 2 of the asshat variety and know of 1 of the good variety. This tiny sample size does nothing to break the stereotype. Vegetarianism is not common in our circles.
Just tried it.
Just haven't tried since I was six
Tofurkey... is a thing that exists?
