A home can get broken into just as easily, or almost as easily. Maybe they live in an area where they don't have much crime. Seriously, why would you even start a sentence with "what they did was wrong and all BUT". There is no "but". They broke into someone's private vehicle and stole their property. Don't cast ANY blame on the victim, they had THEIR stuff LOCKED in THEIR trunk.
No, no blame to the victims. But I would never think of leaving anything in my car. not even the trunk. Like you mentioned I always lived in places I am aware of crime so you think differently. But I believe, sadly, the number of areas with no crime is decreasing and people should be aware of these things that for people like me are common sense. (Common sense for the situation)
Is just something to think about. in a messed up world we can do as much as we can to be safe. Anyways in this case it was good they did because probably they got caught because of the pic. Hopefully.
