OK, I can see that. But, why do we now have more hangers than clothes?

Hangers store the memories amd personality of each article of clothing. Once you place it on a different hanger, the memories and personality change, the reason why clothes sometimes feel different when worn. The forgotten fabrics, the crumpled ones left on the floor lack souls after being deprived for so long, the reason why they are rarely worn. Your human must care for their clothing to have so many hangers.
