I wouldn't really say it's unique because there are others. they should read David Foster Wallace

What is unique is that the liger had an offspring. Almost all ligers, like mist hybrid species, are sterile.

Actually only the males can't mate, the females can mate with lions and tigers but if they do then the offspring will be lion or tiger

I read baby liliger, that means dad lion, mom liger = liliger. But it has spots. I know lion cubs have spots but not this much. So it's lilige(r)pard.

Its a second generation hybrid, there are any number of unusual traits it could have. The father is either a lion or tiger, I can't remember

Everyone thought that, but they had been cross breeding lions and tigers (and bears, oh my) for years before that movie
