True, but most of the time that's what is meant when a black person talks about "sounding white".
you all dont know what sounding white sounds like (because you are white), but you definitely know what sounding black is like

wrong... and a little racist. there is no sounding black. there is sounding uneducated. i talk to many black people in person and on the phone. they don't sound any different. well, at least until you get to the low income locations. then they have that mentality that "you ain't black enough" where if you talk clearly and intelligently, that you are "to white". i know many black people that run banks, restaurants, stores and every other business you can think of. if you think there is a "sound black" you are saying every black person sounds uneducated. on the flip side. much of the black community has this issue of "sounding white" or "white privilege" when it is all about carrying yourself in a polite respectable manner. this picture is an example of this. he assumes he got this for sounding white, but it was most likely how he handled himself on the phone.
