I went to get a parcel from my orthodontist from the post office, and they asked for my license. At the time, I was 15 so I didn't have one so I showed them my student ID instead. But they wouldn't let me take the parcel because they strictly needed my license. And then when my dad offered to show his license, they were like 'No. We need to see the license of Ray. Not her father's.' But I didn't have a license because I was freaking 15!
Ray, a student ID isn't legal identification. A passport or state issued ID are valid photo identification, and a birth certificate also works if they don't require a photo. The post office employee was just doing their job.
I know, but I did my research, and for minors, it is allowed for their parent or guardian to show ID instead. And so they should have accepted my dad's drivers license, but they didn't. :0
