That's because they didn't put any human brain stem cells in. They have precise control over what organs to make. But due to ethical reasons, nobody wants to make a pig with a human brain.
Am I a terrible person for being fascinated by that, and kindve wanting them to do it? What if it even gained conscienceness on the level of humans? It'd be a punch in the stomach to the vatican. Edit: it's 350 am for me rn and I know the comment was probably dumb so you don't nwed to bother telling me why that's impossible or whatever

Nah it's not stupid, it can open up a intellectual discussion on how the world would handle an animal as intelligent as a human. I agree that it would be fascinating but I'm also know to have questionable opinions when it comes to science and I'm generally known to not be a good person.
I'd be interested in how the catholic church and other religions would respond. Fuck, we'd have the give it special rights apart from other animals too... which brings up the question where you draw the line on intelligence. Would be very interesting indeed.
I don't know what more will we need than the fact that this was possible at all. Of course, we don't know how it will pan out if they are born, since human organs don't grow at the rate or size that pig organs do.
You should know by now that these types of posts will always be lurking around the corners, waiting for you to show the first sign of happiness and then making themselves known to you.
