In 17th Century, a mutation occurred making all Carrots Orange, before that, Carrots were purple.

Yes! Although before I had thought that *most* carrots were purple, and they just selected for the orange ones, and tho I don't know if that makes sense, because why would they do that...hmmm...

They did that because it was something to do with the royal family of the Netherlands whose colour was orange I think.
