Not really. What happens when someone who actually needs it comes along? They can't use it because some assholes thought it was a good idea to occupy all the spaces with wheelchairs.
Lol Of course we realize that. Posted that before I finished...it's a funny thing to do but really why stoop to that level when someone could just move the wheelchair?
So because a few people are assholes, everyone else has to be inconvenienced? In order to " just move the wheelchair" you have to park in the middle of the lane, creating yet another traffic hazard to get out and move the thing. Where exactly should you move it that it won't be creating more of an obstacle? For that matter, why are they wasting these chairs by leaving them out to be stolen or vandalized rather than giving them to actually handicap people who can't afford them?
Pick them all up in a van/truck and donate them. Tax write off :) I'm sure if you stopped to move the wheelchair others would understand seeing as there are 20 spots taken up by them. As for where to move them..put it in the spot next to the one you park in then take it to the front of the store and set it to the side. Then inform the manager that there are a bunch of wheelchairs in the parking lot
I think you're all missing the point. The point is that (given the title), this lot has been having a problem with people parking in handicapped spaces, and they decided that this was the best action they could perform to hopefully make it stop, or at least happen less often. Some people just need a gentle nudge to make them consider that what they were doing was making it hard for others.
And again I say, because a few people are assholes, everyone got screwed. That is why you just call a tow truck if someone parks illegally, not cause a problem for everyone.
There are asshole's who do this to the actual handicapped spaces.
